More than a Pageant

The Miss Black International Ambassador (Teen, Miss, Ms & Mrs) exists to give a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for black women globally to serve as ambassadors of change and to encourage, empower, and enlighten, communities, states, and nations. These global agents are rising voices in the community that seek to make a difference, by providing educational forums and events that focus on health disparities, poverty, violence, and major issues plaguing the black communities.

They are role models not only to young black women but to women around the world. They partner with key political figures and international initiatives to bring support to their efforts and platforms. These women are more than a pretty face and the program is more than a competition. It’s a program that gives 365 days of support and resources to communities in need. The program is a platform for today’s savvy, smart, and aware, black women to express their viewpoints, talents, and accomplishments to the international public while offering scholarships and grant opportunities to further education or their business.

Message from Our Founder and Interim Chairman of The MBIA  Board of Directors-Patrice Harrison

Over 25 years in pageantry has brought me to this point. 11 years ago some amazing women decided to start a new pageant. We were driven by the need to see global change and black women unite to impact our communities. Through the ups and downs, COVID and more, our organization has stood the test of time. My prayer as we move forward is that we never lose sight of the mission and vision which is to Encourage, Empower, and Enlighten, Communities, States, and Nations. As we grow we continue to positively change the lives of the women that grace our stage and they leave empowered and equipped to change the world, with or without a crown. MBIA has always been bigger than a sash or crow. We are game changers, community advocates, and women on a mission. The board is  proud to welcome a new team that will bring the organization forward while learning from and embracing our past. Join us and see the difference.

New Structure and Seal of Transparency

MBIA  has a new structure. In the past MBIA was its own LLC and Ambassadors of Change Inc  was the fiscal support for scholarships for MBIA.  As of July 1st, 2024, MBIA is fully a program under the LeadHership Cohort of Ambassadors of Change Inc. A 501c3 Organization. This change allows for more transparency and accountability.  MBIA will still operate with a Board of Directors that will oversee the team of MBIA. The MBIA Board reports to Ambassadors of Change Inc. We developed this Seal of Transparency so that contestants, sponsors, and partners are always in the know and we remain a trusted organization.
