As we gear up for 2025,  we are excited to welcome back our country and state director program in 2025. For the 2025 International Competition all titles will be at-large titles with the exception of the Miss Cameroon Pageant and any international system that is contracted to send their country queen to MBIA. For more information on how you can become a state or country director please email your name, resume and cover letter explaining why you want to be a director and outline your experience to admin@thembiapageant.com.

  • Prelims are broken up into the following: Social Impact Presentation & Interview 40% Costume 15%  Fitness Wear 15%  Evening Gown 15 %   Social Media Engagement 15%

    Final Night Competition: Costume: 20% Fitness 25% Evening Gown 25% Onstage Interview 30%

    In the event of a tie the Social Impact Score will determine the winner.

  • Yes, participating in the co-hort allows you to get training on how to take your platform, passion and program and create sustainable change. This is not about your reign as a queen but the work you do when no one is watching . You will have corporate professionals working with you to help create your program and you will present your final presentation and work at the end of the 5 months live  to a panel of judges. This portion is scored. Each month you will have class work to complete as well as time to meet with your Chief Learning Officer who serves as your guide and mentor. The amount of time you spend developing your program and your pitch will be soley up to you. 

  • TEEN DIVISION
    To qualify to be the next Miss Black TEEN International Ambassador, you must:
    Be between the ages of 14 and 18 by November 1st 2024.
    Be a naturally born female.
    Must not be married, never have been married, and never have had a marriage annulled.
    Must never have given birth to a child, cannot be pregnant or be a parent.
    Have a current GPA or graduated with a minimum GPA of 2.5 (transcript has to be submitted)
    Be of "Black" African Descent.
    Meet residency requirements for competing in a certain town, state, region, or Country. Must have been born in, currently live in, go to school in, work in or receive mail in location. (Must prove)
    Meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss Black International Ambassador Program
    Be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements.
    Be able to meet the time commitment and job responsibilities as set forth by the international  program.


    MISS DIVISION
    To qualify to be the next Miss Black International Ambassador, you must:
    Be between the ages of 19 and 29 by June 1st 2025.
    Be a naturally born female.
    Must not be married, never have been married, and never have had a marriage annulled.
    Must never have given birth to a child, cannot be pregnant or be a parent.
    Be of "Black" African Descent

    Meet residency requirements for competing in a certain town, state, region, or Country. Must have been born in, currently live in, go to school in, work in or receive mail in location. (Must prove)
    Meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss Black International Ambassador Program
    Be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements.
    Be able to meet the time commitment and job responsibilities as set forth by  international  program.

    MS DIVISION
    To qualify to be the next Ms. Black  International Ambassador, you must:
    If parent, divorced, or widowed, must be between the ages of 19-60 by June 1st 2025.

    If none of the above, must be between the ages of 30-60 by June 1st 2025.
    Be a naturally born female.
    Must not be married.
    Being a parent is ok.
    Be of "Black" African Descent
    Meet residency requirements for competing in a certain town, state, region, or Country. Must have been born in, currently live in, go to school in, work in or receive mail in location. (Must prove)
    Meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss Black International Ambassador Program
    Be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements.
    Be able to meet the time commitment and job responsibilities as set forth by  international  program.

    MRS DIVISION

    To qualify to be the next Mrs. Black  International Ambassador, you must:

    Be between the ages of 21-60 by June 1st 2025.
    Be a naturally born female.
    Must be legally married. (Will have to provide proof)
    Being a parent is NOT REQUIRED.
    Be of "Black" African Descent
    Meet residency requirements for competing in a certain town, state, region, or Country. Must have been born in, currently live in, go to school in, work in or receive mail in location. (Must prove)
    Meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss Black International Ambassador Program
    Be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements.
    Be able to meet the time commitment and job responsibilities as set forth by  international  program.

  • Yes you will need a passport and possible Visa based on the location for 2025.

  • A semi finalist contestant is a contestant is selected through an extensive interview process, this contestant doesn't have a state, regional or country director.   Each contestant will take part in a  training and leadership development co-hort  powered by Ambassadors of Change Inc.

  • Yes, each contestant is responsible for paying  registration and  sponsorship fees. The sponsorship fee covers the contestant's participation in the pageant, as well as the contestant's official sash and crown, online training and conferences, and all pageant-related activities.- Hotel cost is on your own

  • No, each contestant is responsible for their transportation to and from the Pageant. You are also responsible for obtaining a visa and passport to travel internationally and in to the host country.

  • No, there is no performing talent required. There are 5  scored categories of competition, including  Costume/Modeling, Interview, Social Impact, Evening gown, Fitness, and On-stage question.

  • The Miss Black International pageant is a scholarship and grant pageant- your education is the number one priority! If you win, most of your appearances and volunteer work will take place during the weekend and will be scheduled in advance. If you are asked to travel oversees for an event, we will do our best to give you advanced notice. Please know this is a job, so if your schedule is too busy, don't apply.
